LITTLE MESSES

Let’s face it toddlers are messy buggers. As an attempt at executing one of my new year’s resolutions (Don’t sweat the small stuff.), I decided to capture these moments on camera instead of letting it get on my nerves (still did, a little). It was a good exercise for me. It had a stop and smell the roses feel to it. I suppose if I had never seen a box of oatmeal packets before, I too would find them fascinating and exciting. If you had never heard the sound of a glass measuring cup hitting (slamming) the wood floors (grrr), it would probably sound pretty cool. So the new me, enjoyed the moment. Ok, so the moment lasted about 5 minutes, then surprise! it was bathtime, playtime over. Also, I am sure there will be a day when it will take a lot more than oatmeal and some old magazines to make him happy. I will enjoy these sweet days.

Teacher Appreciation Card Free Printable. The end of the school year is here and I can't believe it. I am torn between looking forward to the lazy relaxed schedule of summer BUT missing the schedule and order of the school year so that I can get more done!
When I was challenged with my own feelings while parenting, I started creating activities that could help kids and parents open up about their emotions. It was so therapeutic and helpful, so I put my feelings activities together into a book. I created the book that I wanted for my own parenting, and I am so thrilled to share it with you.
Vanilla Blueberry Yogurt Pops. I made this recipe this week after posting it in my newsletter and it was so fresh and yummy, so sharing it here! I used to make these yogurt pops all of the time for my son and he would eat them for breakfast. If blueberries are not in season use frozen wild blueberries or whatever frozen fruit you like. They are really easy to make and you can even add some oats if you want to make them even more nutritious for breakfast.
