DIY SIPPY CUP

We turned a little water bottle into a brilliant sippy cup this hot afternoon. Rowan gets bored with his sippy cups. At random, he changes his mind as to what he finds an acceptable beverage receptacle. This afternoon, this water bottle did the trick, and he was drinking out of it like crazy. I think these would be great at a toddler birthday party.

Homemade Sippy Cup

Small water bottle
Screwdriver ( I think a Phillips head worked well)
Straw

Remove top from water bottle. Force screwdriver into the top until it forms a hole. Maneuver the screw driver, so that the hole is the right size for your straw. Insert straw and screw back on bottle.

Great idea! And the funny thing is that I think my water-bottle-and-straw obsessed 7-year-old would love this.

Well thank you for this, I have many water bottles lying around, and straws, this is a wonderful way of reusing them, J is going to love to drink out of a water bottle!

That is smart! I'm going to try that! It's also a great way to prevent scary insects falling into your bottle.

Thanks for this post. I am throwing a toddler birthday party for my son and have been looking for cute, no-spill drink cup solutions. Of course there's the cheapie take and tosses, but the primary color palette does not go with my lime green, orange and turquoise theme. Clear plastic bubble tea cups with lids are too crushable for busy hands. And the milk carton juice containers on Etsy are $$$. The water bottle sippy cup is not only cheap, easy and readily available, I can customize with bottle labels and straws in my color theme. This is genius. Really. I thank you.
