These cards are a simple and personal way to say thank you for a birthday gift. You can download a free printable of my type design here, then use watercolors to paint in the balloon.
I find it very satisfying to step away from the computer a bit and make something (if only partially) with your hands. If Rowan was a bit older, I would have him make these. I think I child’s touch would make the super special.

I wish I had half your talent Lisa! These cards are STUNNING. Now, I can't promise you I am going to be able to "color in the lines" but I am going to try and let you know how I get on…. 😉
thank you! Glad you like them. I am a terrible artist but it was easy to just draw a circle and it doesn't really matter if it is not perfect, actually I think it is better.
These are so adorable! I love all the crafts you make on your blog. I'm going to make these with my daughter. She love stuff like this. Thanks for sharing!
I love this as well as the embroidery cards post. Your ideas are so easy to implement, even for someone like me who is not strong on crafts and such
I was literally just about to walk to the store for a thank you card but this is a great idea and something for the little man to do tonight. Thanks for sharing!
oh good! I hope you make them!
i loooove these lisa! so, so, so adorable! i got this post in my email last night and i have been thinking about then since. so creative, you are. xo
thanks Christine!
Beautiful, love it! Very Creative!
Those are awesome! What a clever idea!!
I think a child's touch makes things even more special too. These are great, and something I would consider doing w/my middle gal who loves to decorate and create things.
I love that you have created a design that ANYONE young or old can add their simple handmade touch onto to give a special card to someone. Love these! ~heather
My granddaughters will love making these. Thank you.
I agree on stepping away from the computer. I like that I have a mix in the day of sewing and designing, and then all of my computer tasks, including writing. It's a good blend:)
It's so generous of you to share your talent to us. More power to your blog!
