Giant Bubbles DIY

Giant Bubbles Kids Craft
Large Bubbles
Here is a satisfying, quick DIY for you. We made giant bubbles this weekend. I was kind of amazing. Who knew that by just simply mixing a few household ingredients we were able to make these monster sized bubble gems.

Inspired by the wand tutorial over at the inspiring blog,  Clean, we turned twigs into a giant bubble maker. What was great about this last minute project is that we did not spend an extra dime, as we already had all the ingredients. The only thing you may not have is glycerine which you do need as it is what gives the bubbles lasting power.

Giant Bubble Solution

1/2 cup Dishwashing Soap
1/2 cup Corn Starch
1 tablespoon Baking Powder
1 1/2 tablespoons Glycerine
1Quart of Water

Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl. Set aside and make wand.

Giant Bubble Wand

2 long sticks or old tree branches
String or Yarn
A bead or washer

Tie string to the 2 sticks as seen in the illustration below with the bead or washer in the middle of the bottom string. The bead will weigh the string down. Make sure the middle top string is shorter that the bottom string.

Bubbles DIY

How to make bubbles:

Hold your sticks together so that the string is touching. Dip string into bubble solution so that string is saturated. (If the mixture has separated, just stir it a bit before dipping.)

Separate sticks slowly so that you can see bubble liquid in the triangle shape of the strings. Slowly drag wand until you giant bubbles form.

Have Fun!

When I was challenged with my own feelings while parenting, I started creating activities that could help kids and parents open up about their emotions. It was so therapeutic and helpful, so I put my feelings activities together into a book. I created the book that I wanted for my own parenting, and I am so thrilled to share it with you.
Vanilla Blueberry Yogurt Pops. I made this recipe this week after posting it in my newsletter and it was so fresh and yummy, so sharing it here! I used to make these yogurt pops all of the time for my son and he would eat them for breakfast. If blueberries are not in season use frozen wild blueberries or whatever frozen fruit you like. They are really easy to make and you can even add some oats if you want to make them even more nutritious for breakfast.
Try Flower Breathing 🌸 In my last reel, I showed how to make these cardboard Lavender scented flowers. The "pistol" is scented with lavender oil which is a very calming and make it fun. The act of breathing in and out, calms the nervous system and get kids introduced to breath work. Flip through the images and use it as a guide plus one of the images is instructions that you can screen shot. 🌸
