Mr. Potato Head was the inspiration for this fun piece of playful art. By first converting a balloon into a paper maché “head”, you create a fun foundation for making these silly faces. My son was obsessed with making each face sillier than the last.

Paper Mache Head instructions HERE.
First create your paper maché head using the instructions linked in the ingredients list. Set to dry ahead of time. It takes about 3 days.
Then, paint the “head”. Once head is dry, stick the receiving side of the velcro to the head positioned so that it will look like a face.
Cut felt into the shapes of the eyes, mouth, nose and eyebrows. Glue the opposing side of the velcro to the back of each piece.
Separate a piece of wool and add for hair. The sillier the better.
They are pretty silly looking, but that’s the point! Have fun.
