Inspired by the colorful painted street art we say in Oaxaca and the colorful homes in Norway, these paper houses are helping me greet this new colorful season. Eventhough I live in a temperate climate, the beauty and rebirth of spring is undeniable. In California, the rain means that the usually dry, golden brown earth is bright green with desert flowers opening up. It is marvelous, and I am taking it all in. Take a peak on my Instagram page for a video demo here.

These little paper flowers are meant to add imaginitive play. But they also can be used as a tool for helping kids talk about their feelings. Each flower has a different face on either side. Children can add voices or conversations to match the feelings face on the flowers. Parents can use it as an opportunity to sit and listen or even ask questions.
