MY VERY FAVORITE BOOKS

These were my very favorite books growing up. I read both of them countless times. My paperback of The Secret Garden was so tattered and torn, that I had it taped at the seams. It could barely stay together. Don’t even get me started on the Anne of Green Gables mini-series on PBS! These two books and many more were my escapes. I could sit in my room for hours transported. Ask my mom!

I just saw these special editions on Pinterest and bought them right away. These clothbound versions are charming, and gave me a perfect excuse to read them again. I heart books.

You gave me chills, Lisa! I love these books, too. When my best friend (who also loves "The Secret Garden") and I visited NYC when we were young, we saw the musical with Mandy Patinkin as the uncle. And we cried so hard it took us 15 minutes after the show was over to pull ourselves together and leave.

And Anne. What is there to say? She's so wonderful. I use bits and pieces from those books all the time. I knew you were a kindred spirit. 😉 Please share more of what you like to read!

A fellow book lover! I had no idea there was a musical! I would have died to see it!

I thought it was wonderful. This was back in the early '90s at the St. James Theater. Carly Simon's sister wrote the music. Talented family! It was the first time I'd been to Broadway, so the whole experience was pretty amazing.

I can't wait to bring my kids there some day….

Teacher Appreciation Card Free Printable. The end of the school year is here and I can't believe it. I am torn between looking forward to the lazy relaxed schedule of summer BUT missing the schedule and order of the school year so that I can get more done!
When I was challenged with my own feelings while parenting, I started creating activities that could help kids and parents open up about their emotions. It was so therapeutic and helpful, so I put my feelings activities together into a book. I created the book that I wanted for my own parenting, and I am so thrilled to share it with you.
Vanilla Blueberry Yogurt Pops. I made this recipe this week after posting it in my newsletter and it was so fresh and yummy, so sharing it here! I used to make these yogurt pops all of the time for my son and he would eat them for breakfast. If blueberries are not in season use frozen wild blueberries or whatever frozen fruit you like. They are really easy to make and you can even add some oats if you want to make them even more nutritious for breakfast.
