CHALKBOARDS

This weekend, I made these chalkboards with a little chalkboard paint, a clipboard and my beloved Washi tape. It was super easy, and I was finished during nap time with time to spare. I think I will keep one in the car to keep my little man occupied in the back seat.

What you need:

Clipboards
Painters tape
Chalkboard paint
Small roller
Washi tape

Align a piece of painter’s tape at the top of the clipboard right below the clip. Using a paint roller, paint the clipboard with the chalkboard paint. Let dry for 4 hours. Remove painters tape. Decorate the seam with colorful tape. If you don’t have colorful tape you can leave it as is. That looks great too.

Awesome idea!!!! White board paint would work too, right? Then, less dust — especially in the car 🙂

It was easier than I thought. Now I have this can of paint and I am trying to think of other things to cover in chalk!
