I am so thrilled that Rowan enjoys a good book. One of my greatest parenting goals is to turn Rowan into a lover of stories. I think all good things can come from books: knowledge, imagination, escape, peace, language and on and on. Reading is a great way of sneaking life lessons into a three year olds brain too. Lessons on politeness and sharing out of the mouths of Peter Rabbit and digger trucks are some of the most absorbed by my son. Oh, and most importantly, reading is just fun.
Since in our new town, the library is a respite for both Rowan and I. Our frequent visits to this familiar space is what is starting to make San Diego feel like home. Here are some of our favorite library books that we are into this week.
May I Bring A Friend, Beatrice Schenk De Regniers
Eddie’s Garden and How to Make Things, Sarah Garland
Now What Can I Do, Margaret Park Bridges
Train, Elisha Cooper
Llama Llama Time to Share, Anna Dewdney
