Color a Spring Flower House

In honor of the California rain and current superbloom we are experiencing, I made this Spring house printable that can be downloaded here for free. It has a little pull tab that reveals spring flowers.

Lately, I have been spending time doodling and coloring as I have been trying to spend more time away from my phone. Why and when did we all stop doodling? When did we stop coloring? Lately, I have been leaving out colored pencils and sketchbooks for my son too. I find that If I am coloring he will join me and start doodling in his sketchbook. As I peel myself away from screens, so does he. Our actions are contagious and though he still loves his Minecraft and Mr. Beast Youtune videos, I am finding that he is also have quiet moments of calm drawing or reading especially when he sees us doing the same.

Use this little house to color in front of your kids. See if they join you, and share a few moments together. For younger kids this can be a fun activity that brings calm while you are preparing dinner and need a moment. Print out a few and make a little flower village. Bust most of all have fun.

Take a look at instruction video here.

When I was challenged with my own feelings while parenting, I started creating activities that could help kids and parents open up about their emotions. It was so therapeutic and helpful, so I put my feelings activities together into a book. I created the book that I wanted for my own parenting, and I am so thrilled to share it with you.
Vanilla Blueberry Yogurt Pops. I made this recipe this week after posting it in my newsletter and it was so fresh and yummy, so sharing it here! I used to make these yogurt pops all of the time for my son and he would eat them for breakfast. If blueberries are not in season use frozen wild blueberries or whatever frozen fruit you like. They are really easy to make and you can even add some oats if you want to make them even more nutritious for breakfast.
Try Flower Breathing 🌸 In my last reel, I showed how to make these cardboard Lavender scented flowers. The "pistol" is scented with lavender oil which is a very calming and make it fun. The act of breathing in and out, calms the nervous system and get kids introduced to breath work. Flip through the images and use it as a guide plus one of the images is instructions that you can screen shot. 🌸
